Moving on to performance with a discrete GeForce GTX 1080 card in situ, the numbers are a tad lower than with equivalent first-generation Ryzens. We can surmise that having a x8 PCIe interface is hurting a touch here.
More importantly, the numbers posted are close enough to rival Core i3s for the interface reduction to be rendered moot.
