Power Consumption

Want to pick a high-end AMD processor and be a friend of the Earth? You now can. The Ryzen 7 1700X-based platform drew 136 watts from the wall with the CPU working flat out. The reading is bang in line with our expectations and the chip had no problem keeping cool beneath our Noctua NH-D15S heatsink, with core temperature peaking at a highly respectable 52ºC during testing.
