The Ryzen 7 1800X and 1700X have been closely matched thus far, and that trend continues in the Futuremark tests, where the performance gap is merely a couple of per cent.
Is the Core i7-7700K still a better bet for gamers? That's the debate that will continue to rage, however it's good to see that AMD is back in the equation. The 220W FX-9590 is officially a relic from a bygone era.
