--- Appearance, Specification and Compatibility

Appearance

At 800g, the Vanessa Type-L is pretty weighty but even at first glance it's easy to see why. Extremely thick aluminium fins are paired with what's definitely the largest copper core we've ever seen.

That copper core runs the entire height of the cooler, with a substantial length exposed at the bottom before the fins begin. It's not solid though, no ladies and gentlemen, this is in fact a 25mm heat-pipe. More accurately, it's not a single heat-pipe but, apparently, lots of small heat-pipes contained within that copper core – though we didn't take a hacksaw to it to double-check Titan's claim.

Looking at the cooler in profile, you can see that each fin is much like a butterfly in shape, something that contributes to the cooler measuring 150(h) x 130(w) x 118(d) mm.

The included shiny blue plastic fan is a 120mm model with a pre-fitted finger guard. The fan clips onto the heat-sink using rubberised-plastic mounts and can be adjusted to whatever height suits your motherboard layout.
