The box immediately shows off the cooler and you can just about make out the first pair of heatpipes rising up into the fin array. The rear of the box gives away the specification. Opening the box reveals the main goodies.

The top of the cooler shows you how the heatpipes are arranged, in a staggered fashion. The copper structure is surrounded by an aluminium shroud that the fan attaches to, the Cooler Master logo then stamped on top.

The base shows how it's constructed, the heatpipe arrangement (again) and the size of the contact area with the supported processors.

The heatsink weighs a lardy 995 grams with fan, according to my digital scales. The weight violates the maximum cooler weights set out by both Intel and AMD for the CPUs the Hyper-6 supports (all AMD Socket 940, 939, 754 and Intel Socket 478 processors).

Let's check out the bundle.
