Benchmark: CPU temperature

The Switch 810 offers more than enough room for exotic CPU coolers, but perhaps there's no need. With Intel's reference heatsink and fan running at low speed, the chassis keeps our Core i7-980X processor running at an actual temperature of 53ºC - which is among the lowest results we've recorded.

CPU cooling performance is good - and of course the chassis' upgradeability offers plenty of scope for improvement - but as you'll find out later in the review, the low temperatures are married to higher-than-usual noise levels.
