PRESS RELEASE

ADATA and AMD enter the 3000 Mbps DRAM speed Club

ADATATM Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, today announced that Matthias Zronek aka "Mat" from overclockers.at in Austria broke the overall DDR3 memory clock world record, by raising the bar up to 3312 Mbps using non-preselected, retail ADATA XPG Gaming Series V2.0 modules paired with an AMD FX-8150 Bulldozer CPU and an ASUS Crosshair V motherboard.

Mat commented: "... the more time I spent with the system, the better it worked out. I couldn't believe my eyes when I passed the 3000 MHz (Mbps) mark just for validation ... I mean, on AMD ... who would have thought?! So I decided to go on and ended up with a validation of 3311 MHz (Mbps)... So welcome ADATA and AMD to the 3000 MHz (Mbps) club!" This outstanding result is a milestone for ADATA as well as for AMD, who now owns the overall CPU- and memory-frequency world record with their new Bulldozer platform.

"The record-breaking speeds achieved with the AMD FX CPU demonstrate the headroom for the new AMD multi-core architecture and the stability of the 9-series chipset", said Sascha Bosen, Regional Sales Manager (DACH). "We congratulate ADATA for achieving the Highest Memory Frequency in the world."

Besides the astonishing 3311 Mbps result, which was achieved by using a single 2GB ADATA XPG Gaming Series V2.0 module, Mat was also able to run the system at 3000 MHz (Mbps) CL10-13-12-31 in 2 x 2GB Dual Channel configuration and successfully performed a SuperPi 1M benchmark. The AMD Bulldozer was running with 7525 MHz at this time.
