MSI has announced a new upgraded version of its Gaming 24 All-in-One (AiO) gaming PC. This 24-inch screen machine has now been upgraded with Intel's efficient Skylake-H mobile workstation platform (HM170 chipset) and users get a choice of Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M or 960M graphics chip with double the GDDR5 memory that was previously the maximum. Additionally the update AiO has Windows 10 pre-installed and a next generation Intel Wireless-AC 3165 Wi-Fi adapter and Killer E2400 Ethernet for responsive online gameplay.
This gaming focussed AiO PC employs your choice of Intel Core i5-6300HQ or 6700HQ processor. The system supports up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4 (SODIMM, 2-slots) memory and, as hinted at above, uses dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M or 960M mobile GPUs equipped with 4GB of GDDR5. Accompanying the standard 24-inch LED backlit Full HD version (1920 x 1080) of the Gaming 24, MSI will be making a 4K version (3840 x 2160) available and providing extra screen options including Anti-Glare, and Projected Capacitive Touch. All displays come with MSI Anti-flicker technology, to prevent screen flickering and blue light emission, reducing eyestrain and fatigue
Storage is catered for within the AiO chassis with capacity for 1x 3.5-inch HDD, 2x M.2 PCI-E SSD, and 1x 2.5-inch SATA III. MSI employs its Super RAID 4 tech to allow for "blazing fast storage possibilities with speeds up to 32Gb/s". Storage possibilities don't stop there as the MSI Gaming 24 AiO has a built-in tray loading DVD Super Multi drive, a 3-in 1 card reader and several USB 3.1 ports for external storage and other peripheral connections.
On the subject of I/O this AiO PC is equipped with 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 with Super Charger) on the side and 3x USB 3.1 Gen 1, RJ45, 1x Mic in, 1x Earphone out, 1x HDMI in (2x HDMI out on Gaming 24 6QE 4K) at the rear. Networking is catered for with the aforementioned built-in Intel Wireless-AC 3165 Wi-Fi adapter and Killer E2400 Ethernet, plus Bluetooth 4.2 connections are available. Rounding off the multimedia experience Nahimic Audio Enhancer 2.0 is built in, as is a Full HD webcam.
In its email to HEXUS, MSI mentioned that Dragon Eye PiP functionality is built-into the Gaming 24, which allows users to watch YouTube or Twitch whilst playing a game - great for learning how to get past a certain challenge in a game, for example. For a limited time MSI is bundling the full version of Rainbow Six: Siege free with this gaming PC (depending upon your region). We don't have pricing or availability information at the time of writing and the new Gaming 24 models are yet to detailed upon MSI's official product pages.
