ASUS has updated its range of commercial ASUSPRO PCs including its space saving and All-in-One designs. They all feature latest generation Intel processors for performance and power efficiency. As these are also aimed at small and medium businesses (SMB), education and enterprise customers you also get "advanced management and security features," including the new ASUS Business Manager software tools.

EeeBox EB1036 and EB1037

The machines are targeted at thin client and digital signage applications and their chassis capacity is just one litre. They weigh in at 0.7Kg and boast low power consumption figures. Despite this they both offer upgraded performance compared to their predecessors. Both feature HDMI and VGA video outputs supporting simultaneous displays. A serial (COM) port makes them easy to connect to business peripherals such as barcode scanners, serial printers and LED text displays.

ASUS ET1620 15.6-inch AiO

This is an AiO for business applications such as point-of-sale (POS), self-service machines, educational or digital signage use. The ET1620 has a 15.6-inch 10-point multi-touch capacitive display. Again it's significantly faster than previous generation machines to offer smoother multitasking using its Intel Celeron quad-core processor.

The ASUS ET1620 has interfaces including two serial ports, two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. You can also hook this up to both HDMI and VGA video outputs supporting simultaneous displays. Buyers can specify an NFC module to be installed. This is a slim space saving machine which looks good in public facing use. It's less than 2Kg so is easly transportable, conversely it's capable of being bolted to the wall as its VESA mount compatible.

BT1AD and BT1AE desktops

These are ultra small form factor (USFF) PCs. As business machines these PCs include Intel vPro™ technology and an embedded TPM chip to provide hardware-based malware protection, data security and remote manageability. Intel's full range of powerful 4th gen Core chips (up to 65W) can be specified for these PCs.

The BT1AE model includes DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA video outputs and can run up to three external displays simultaneously. These PCs use tool-free designs for easy maintenance and offer a good range of I/O ports including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, plus optional serial and parallel ports. The BT1AD model is a "budget friendly" version of the BT1AE.

ASUS Business Manager

As mentioned in the intro ASUS Business Manager is a set of tools for managing the aforementioned PCs. This software helps users undertake "routine maintenance and optimization tasks such as software and system updates, physical and password security, backup and recovery, plus power management configuration," says ASUS.
