Fractal Design launches Edison M modular PSUs

Scandinavian specialist PC chassis, power and cooling company, Fractal Design, has just unveiled a new range of modular PSUs. The new family of PSUs is called the Edison M range.

The Fractal Design Edison M range feature 80PLUS Gold certified efficiency and are aimed at gaming and workstation PCs. Their modular nature helps users create a computer system with the minimum of cable clutter and thus aids cooling/airflow within your PC chassis. For flexibility in internal chassis positioning the Edison M range comes with extra-long ATX12V cables – so, for instance, a bottom mounted PSU won't be a stretch too far.

Inside the PSUs you will find that Fractal Design has chosen to use Japanese electrolytic capacitors and Japanese/Taiwanese solid polymer capacitors for maximum reliability. A full protection suite including "Over Power Protection, Over Voltage Protection, Short Circuit Protection, Under Voltage Protection, Over Current Protection and Over Temperature Protection," is on offer. These ATX 2.4 compliant PSUs are cooled by a temperature controlled 120mm fan which uses FDB bearings for smooth and quiet functionality over a long lifespan.

Buyers can choose from a 450W, 550W, 650W and 750W Edison M power supply depending upon their requirements. However all PSUs come with a 5 year warranty.
