be quiet! launching seven First Class PSUs

be quiet! are launching not one, not two, but seven brand spanking new PSUs as part of its Dark Power Pro "First Class" Series.

Launching in two steps, the new modular power supply units will replace the original Dark Power Pro PSUs that debuted in March 2005.

The first three models to launch, 450W, 550W and 650W, will be available end of December 07 or early January 08. The second release, featuring 750W, 850W, 1000W and 1200W models will take place in February and March 2008 in preparation for Cebit 2008.

Providing up to 88% efficiency, be quiet! promise to deliver "First Class" services via three basic ideas:

First Class Technology covers all the key characteristics that really count when building a PC system. The outstanding features of the “First Class” technology used in the new Dark Power Pro models include ECASO technology, high efficiency rate (88%), the number of 12v circuits and the silent operation of the PSU fan. ECASO technology controls the speed of the PSU fan and up to a maximum of 4 additional casing fans, according to temperature.
First Class Connectivity, the manufacturer combines all the technological advantages that are important outside the housing: the Dark Power Pro models offer future-proof cable management and the highest possible compatibility with all mainboards and graphic cards. The power supplies are fitted with at least 16 cable sets, of which up to 14 are removable. The units also have 2 PCIe 6+2-pin connectors for SLI and Crossfire graphic card systems. A special feature of the new Dark Power Pro models is a non-interchangeable, intelligent connection concept. There is a special colour coding system on the power supply connections and also on one side of the modular power cables that prevents any mix-up of the cable directions. For a tidier PC, an all-in-one cable is supplied, enabling two Molex, two SATA connectors and a floppy drive to be grouped together in a single bundle.
First Class Service, be quiet! is referring to the unique service that customers can expect after purchasing a be quiet! power supply or in the event of any claims under warranty. Be quiet! offers a full 3-year warranty (1 year more than the legal requirement), a freephone service hotline 0800-0736736 within Germany for fast assistance, and a convenient on-site replacement service during the first year.
