Back at the Comsumer Electronics Show early this year we were first given notice of Lian Li's intentions to bring PC peripherals to market. Today we received an email from Lian Li saying that the first of these peripherals have launched. The products launched today are the KB-01 Bluetooth Slim Keyboard, the KM-01 Wireless Slim Keyboard & Mouse Combo, and the PT-M5 Oversized Mouse Pad.
On both keyboard models you will find chiclet style keys backed with scissor switches. Within the standard 104 key layout you will find combo keys for media convenience plus LEDs for num lock, caps lock and battery level. There are power and pairing buttons on the underside of the keyboards, plus rubber non-slip feet and flip out rear stands for a better typing angle.
KB-01 Bluetooth Slim Keyboard
This Bluetooth keyboard is available in blue, gold or silver. As a Bluetooth device it is easy to pair and is compatible with a wide range of devices and OSes including; Windows 7,8,10 or later, Mac OS 10.10 or later, Chrome OS, Android 3.0 or later, and iOS 5 or later.
The KB-01 can alternatively be connected in wired mode via a mini USB connector to its rear. According to the information we have this doesn't double as a charging method and the KB-01 uses standard AAA batteries (x2). The KB-01 measures 441 x 124 x 20mm and weighs about 485g.
KM-01 Wireless Slim Keyboard & Mouse Combo
This keyboard uses a bundled USB 2.4GHz wireless receiver rather than using Bluetooth. The advantage is lower latency but you get poorer battery life. Lian Li is supplying this desk combo in an even wider colour range; black, green, red, blue, gold, and silver. The colours match Lian Li cases such as the PC-Q34 and PC-O8 to present a system with a unified design.
The KM-01 is exactly the same size and weight as the KB-01 detailed above. Its accompanying mouse measures 109 x 60 x 38mm, and the receiver unit is 19 x 15 x 6mm in size. Compatibility is reduced with this device, only Windows 7 or newer and Mac OS X 10.10 or newer are said to be supported. Again this keyboard operates using 2x AAA batteries.
As mentioned in the intro, Lian Li also launched its PT-M5 Oversized Mouse Pad today, you can read more about that at the link provided.
Lian Li says that the two new keyboard products are available from Overclockers UK, priced at "€49.90". However at the time of writing I can't find them listed there. The PT-M5 mousepad is priced at €29.90.
