Logitech has launched its first ten key less (TKL) gaming keyboard. The Logitech G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL features Logitech's home-grown Romer-G mechanical switches, intelligent RGB illumination and Arx app control integration. As with other Logitech keyboards featuring these exclusive keyswitches it is claimed that users/gamers can enjoy "25 per cent faster actuation than with standard mechanical keyboards," thanks to the switch design.

This new TKL gaming keyboard could be considered the little brother of the only other RGB lit gaming keyboard from Logitech, the G910 Orion Spark. The G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL is the first and only TKL gaming keyboard from Logitech. Talking about the design process Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech, said "We worked closely with gamers of all ages and our eSports teams to create this ultra-light keyboard that is durable and comfortable". Desai went on to claim that the compact new keyboard "meets the needs of eSports athletes, but is also great for younger gamers looking to buy their first gaming keyboard."

As mentioned in the intro, the G410 features Logitech's Romer-G keyswitches. With a characteristic 1.5mm actuation point these are said to "receive commands more quickly, giving you an edge in competitive games where every millisecond matters". We are used to seeing Cherry's MX switches and their claimed 50 million keystroke life, Logitech claims its Romer-G switches trump that with a durability rating of 70 million keystrokes.

This 16.8 million colour backlighting equipped keyboard can be customised on its own, or offer synchronised lighting as part of a wider Logitech accessories collection. The software offers great flexibility and the storage and retrieval of game profiles, for example.

The G410 Atlas Spectrum TKL features a detachable Arx control dock and stand for your smart device. Logitech's Arx Control app for iOS and Android accompanies this accessory and allows for mobile device display of in-game information, vital system statistics and so on.

Measuring 185 x 390 x 36mm thick this keyboard weighs 830g including the 6ft (1.8m) USB 2.0 cable. Interested gamers will be able to buy the G410 from next month. It has suggested retail pricing of $129.99 and €149 and comes with a 2-year warranty.

Since when does $129.99 become €149? Even with 20% sales tax added on, at current rates, it is €139. Typical US company greed again. Looks a nice keyboard tho
I don't really like these keyboards that look like they've come off the bridge of the Star Trek Enterprise. Much prefer cleaner, more premium looking keyboards - like the Corsair K70
Damn that looks good

I don't know how Logitech has things set up, but it might just be a simple supply/demand curve. More demand, more infrastructure for their company stateside. It does seem like a steep difference but as an American I'm not complaining :P

Starship Enterprise, if you please…
That would be the Saitek Cyborg V7, anyway - Looks like it belongs on the 1701-D!!

But what are Logitech playing at, lately?
They go make a great gaming keyboard like the G19… but now just seem unsure whether they want to rip off MadCatz-Saitek or rip off Roccat!!
