Gigabyte has revealed a new mini-ITX friendly graphics card based upon one of Nvidia's newest Pascal GPUs. The Gigabyte GTX 1070 mini-ITX OC graphics card is small and potent with its OC mode (overclocked mode) Pascal GP104 GPU running at a base frequency of 1556MHz and boosting up to 1746MHz as required. Full sized Founders Edition GTX 1070 graphics card GPUs run at base 1506MHz / boost 1683MHz.

Key specifications of the new mini-ITX card, with product number GV-N1070IXOC-8GD, are provided below:

Gigabyte has equipped this diminutive card with a custom designed cooler featuring a 90mm fan, 3 pure copper composite heat-pipes using direct touch technology, and a unique triangle edge fan blade design. The fan works in semi-passive mode so under low loads you won't even hear a whisper from this graphics card.

As usual, Gigabyte claims to use 'ultra-durable' components in this product. The theory is that end users will enjoy extended reliability and improved overclockability. Furthermore, Gigabyte says the GTX 1070 mini-ITX OC is "Built for OverClocking" with its 5+1 power phases (Nvidia Founder Edition cards offer 4+1). When it comes to overclocking, Gigabyte's software offers "one click Super Overclocking" and its 'Extreme Engine' utility allows fine control of clock speeds, voltage, fan performance, power target, and an OSD setting for easy monitoring.

We still await pricing and availability details from Gigabyte.

So want one!! Probably not going to be cheap I expect!! :(
Love the look but can't afford Nvidia's new offerings.Just seem to be catering to the enthusiast.
I'm inclined to agree. I was hoping to get a 1070 thinking they'd take the old 970 price point but they're about 400 quid. Can't justify that, but maybe the 1060 might be OK (if the rumours are right). Will have to wait for some reviews.
Same as above, was going to buy into the 70 series this generation if they stuck to the 970 pricepoint, but the way they were talking about the 1060, sounds like even that won't be at a great pricepoint. We shall see.
RIP Nano.
