You may remember that just over a month ago Nvidia updated its GeForce gaming bundle by including the much-anticipated Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain with select GPUs. The full list of compatible GPUs are as follows:
- GeForce GTX 980 Ti
- GeForce GTX 980
- GeForce GTX 970
- GeForce GTX 960
- GeForce GTX 980M and 970M notebooks
The original promotion was mooted to end today, September 1, to coincide with the game's international availability, but word has reached us that Nvidia is now extending the deal until September 8.
Given that the game is produced by famed Kojima Productions and has had an overwhelmingly positive response from reviewers, the Nvidia promotion seems like a worthwhile one, especially as title is now selling for around £30 on its own.
Our particular choice of MGS card would be the value-conscious GeForce GTX 960, available for sub-£150 and offering console-beating quality.
Is MGS V enough of a carrot to tempt you to the green side?
