The leaked AMD Radeon HD 7700 series specifications looked interesting, but pricing remained something of a question mark. We've heard rumours - hence our predictions of £130 for a Radeon HD 7770 and £100 for a Radeon HD 7750 - but now we've some firm proof.
It comes in the form of retailer listings in the US, where pre-overclocked cards from MSI are up for pre-order priced at $185.99 and $132.99, respectively.
It's never quite so simple, but convert those figures to British Pounds and add the VAT, and you arrive at £140 for a pre-overclocked Radeon HD 7770 and £100 for a pre-overclocked Radeon HD 7750.
The dual-fan description suggests that both cards are custom cooled, but there isn't much of an overclock - if the listings are accurate, MSI's 7770 OC is boosted by just 20MHz on the core, while the company's overclocked 7750 will be nudged forward by 30MHz.
In related news, AMD is unsurprisingly proud of the fact that the Radeon HD 7770 will ship with a GPU core speed of 1,000MHz. If memory serves, this is the first graphics card to arrive at retail operating at such dizzying frequencies, and AMD is kicking off a Verdetrol marketing campaign to highlight the fact. We'll let you figure out what Verdetrol means in the comments below.
