How might an A8-3850, of the Llano persuasion, perform in a heavily-overclocked state?

The A8-3850 (pictured above) reached the heady-heights of 3.773GHz - with a 1.52V serving of juice -  and together with its integrated Radeon HD6550D class graphics solution pushed to 870MHz, worked its way through some 3DMark scenarios.

3DMark 06 was first on the agenda, with a score of 10,492 within reach.

3DMark Vantage was next, with a score of P6,160 (Performance Preset).

Last, but not least, a score of P1,591 (Performance Preset) was attained in 3DMark 11.

Stock performance, by all accounts, came in at 7,650, P4,400 and P1,148 for 3DMark 06, 3DMark Vantage and 3DMark 11, respectively.

My only comment: 1.5v?!? That's a lot of vcore: hope it's not indicative of a high stock vcore, or these are *not* going to be power sipping, cool-running processors…

That said, I suppose that voltage is pushing not just 4 cores @ 3.7GHz, but also a GPU @ 800+ MHz, isn't it… maybe it's not so bad after all.
It's impossible to tell because of the gpu. Somebody needs to plug in a discrete card and see how high the cpu cores overclock.

That defeats the object of this CPU (APU?) though.

Good thing I added some scores for an HD5670.

Edit!!

Here is the score for a Core i3 2100 and an HD5670 GDDR5:

It looks like that with a 100MHZ overclock the HD6550D will match an HD5670 GDDR5 in 3DMark11. Considering the HD6550D does not have dedicated RAM it actually seems to perform reasonably well.
