Thermaltake has added to its award-winning line of Frio CPU coolers with the launch of the top-of-the-line Frio Extreme.

Designed with overclockers in mind, the substantial 1.23kg unit promises a massive cooling capacity of up to 250W, and integrates both VR and PWM fan control to help keep noise levels down to a minimum.

Measuring 148.2mm deep, 151mm wide and 160mm tall, the Frio Extreme makes use of a dual-tower heatsink design with a mirror-finished copper base, 0.4mm aluminium fins and half-a-dozen 6mm U-shape copper heatpipes.

Providing up to 106.2 CFM of airflow are a pair of 140mm blue-blade fans that operate at speeds of between 1,200RPM and 1,800RPM, and, as expected, the Frio Extreme is compatible with all the latest sockets from Intel and AMD. You'll find a complete list of supported sockets in the spec. table below, but there's still no mention of pricing.
