New SOYO® Mini DRAGON offers mobility, functionality and performance targeting LAN party gamers and space-conscious hardware enthusiasts

Las Vegas, NV (November 19, 2002) – SOYO, Inc., a leading innovator of DRAGONTM and other high-end motherboards, today announced the launch of its new small form factor gaming barebone line, the Mini- DRAGONTM. Continuing the DRAGONTM legend, this series offers style, mobility and functionality in one small box. Leveraging Intel®’s new Hyper-Threading® technology, the first Mini DRAGON 651 is ideal for gamers and hardware enthusiasts who are performance driven and space-conscious.

Condensed to 2.5” (H) x 7.5” (W) x 9.5” (D), the SOYO Mini DRAGON 651 is the smallest gaming barebone machine currently available. With the discerning mobile gamers in mind, the first of the SOYO Mini DRAGONs offers a full feature set and expandability to enhance the total gaming experience.

The Mini DRAGON 651 for the Intel® Pentium 4 platform is based on the SiS 651 chipset, and features support for DDR333, 4X AGP, integrated 2D/3D video, on-board audio, LAN, USB 2.0, and IEEE 1394 Firewire. Optimized for the Hyper-Threading technology, SOYO users can now take advantage of the processing power of dual processors with the use of only single processor. To solve the bottleneck created by the increasing processing speed, DDR333 enables the new Intel processors to perform at exceptional levels.

To ensure upgradeability, the Mini DRAGON 651 features an AGP riser card for those who demand extreme graphics for their gaming and multimedia needs. Also included in the Mini DRAGON is a customized CPU heat sink, solving the heat dissipation issue without noise generation.

The first Mini DRAGON will be housed in an aluminum chassis, offerings style and function. Customized power adapter and CD ROM drive are included to characterize the portability of this gaming box. For the mobile users, optional IEEE 802.11b USB wireless adapter offers additional connectivity without compromise in performance.

The Mini DRAGON 651 will be available in Q1, 2003.
