The TwinMOS PC2700 memory module has once again been given the honor of being
the designated test memory module for AMD’s newest CPU, the Athlon XP 2600
system. This computer system is equipped with TwinMOS PC2700 memory modules,
raising the system to DDR 333MHz performance, while at the same time the memory
modules’ full-loading operation highlights the system’s high speed and
stability.

The
testing platform used by the AMD Athlon XP 2600 was the specially selected Epox
EP-8K3A+ mainboard from Epox Computer Company. The TwinMOS PC2700 memory modules
were chosen as the designated memory modules from among the products of eight
well-known memory manufacturers, which were also submitted for testing. After
passing strict testing and burn-in on an earlier version of the Athlon CPU, the
TwinMOS PC2700 received more outstanding test data. This clearly shows that the
TwinMOS PC2700 memory modules can pass the rigorous testing of full-loading,
high speed operation.



According
to the TwinMOS U.S. subsidiary: The reason TwinMOS PC2700 has found favor with
AMD is because:



1) The PCB
conforms to JEDEC specifications, and was designed entirely with the special
characteristics and signals of the DDR 333MHz memory electronics in mind.



2) All
developed PC2700 memory modules must first pass Ali, AMD, Intel, nVIDIA, SiS,
VIA and other system chip manufacturer’s validation.



3) All
PC2700 memory modules produced must pass systematic testing by all of the major
mainboard manufacturers, raising the level of compatibility – just one example
is TwinMOS’s cooperation with Epox Technology.



4)
Full-loading testing is the threshold for large computer system certification;
it is also one of TwinMOS’s quality control standards.



The
world’s large system chip makers of the DDR 333 chip have already jumped on
board and have established the DDR 333 mainboard as a mainstream product. The
major features of every maker’s mainboards are becoming more alike by the day.
Who will win? It all depends on who offers support for the largest memory
capacity and the stability of full-loading.
