Natural extension of product line completes 3" - 300" screen product offerings
London, UK - May 18th, 2009 - ViewSonic® Corp., a leading global provider of visual display products, today announced plans to expand into the 3G smartphone industry, making its 3" - 300" product line a reality. China will be the first region to offer the phones, followed by Europe and the Americas.
This marks ViewSonic's first product in the smartphone market, but falls in line with the convergence of televisions, computers and mobile phones. As the demand for mobile phone functionality increases, ViewSonic's heritage in display technology plays an important role in the development of smartphones. Consumers are demanding larger screens, greater colour saturation and contrast to take advantage of new services such as mobile Internet, television and video applications, gaming and eBooks.
