THE NEW CREATIVE PC-CAM 300 SETS THE STANDARD FOR HIGH-END DETACHABLE
WEBCAMS

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment
products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces its new,
high-end detachable webcam product called the Creative PC-CAM 300. Built on
the success of Creative's previous two detachable webcam generations,
including the ground-breaking WebCam Go Plus, the new PC-CAM 300 offers
extra functionality, advanced optical design and even greater versatility.

As well as desktop still or video images and mobile snapshots, this exciting
new product will capture mobile 'mini-movies' up to 75 seconds long or
record up to 30 minutes of live voice on its 8MB memory. The built-in
intelligent flash unit, which offers manual or automatic operation and
red-eye reduction, provides a system which delivers exceptional desktop
performance with a wide range of features for users on the move.

On the desktop, the PC-CAM 300 will capture live video in 16.7 million
colours at either 15 frames per second (640x480) or 30fps (352x288). It can
also capture still images at up to 1024x768 with driver interpolation. In
mobile use, it can store up to 128 snapshots at 640x480 or an amazing 255
images at 320x240.

"The incorporation of an intelligent flash unit in the sleek new casing
extends the usability of this webcam considerably and takes it away from the
desktop," explains Geraldine Lee, European brand manager for webcams with
Creative Labs Europe. "Together with an improved lens, up-rated CCD matrix
and 8MB standard memory, we are offering users a powerful desktop video or
still system delivering exceptional image quality - with an enhanced mobile
feature set on top. And with USB as standard, plus smart and powerful
software, the whole package is a dream to install and use".

Creative has paid careful attention to the overall user experience which has
led to a radical new two-part design, with the base unit and camera unit
being moulded in a eye-catching smooth, ergonomic style - making mobile
operation intuitive and comfortable. For desktop use, the camera unit can
adjust vertically to ensure that it focuses on the user. Hardware and
software installation are clear and logical, and managing the camera on the
move is aided by a simple visual menu system.

The PC-CAM 300 comes with a full range of software, including Creative's new
PC-CAM Center application, which enables users to view snapshots or videos.
Photo enthusiasts will want to try out Ulead Photo Express 4.0 My Custom
Edition, the powerful photo editing suite from this world leader in digital
media software. This enables users to enhance, animate and organise their
pictures to give them that special 'professional' look and feel.

Available from the end of September, the PC-CAM 300 will cost £129inc VAT.
