Amsterdam/Berlin, 18 April 2013: At this year's CeBIT, the new Philips 27-inch (68.6 cm) display with crystal clear Quad HD resolution had caused quite a stir. Now, a version for the use in living rooms and home offices has become available. MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips monitors, is pleased to announce the release of the Philips 272C4 display with crystal clear Quad HD resolution, MultiView support as well as integrated webcam and microphone.
Advanced viewing technology for sophisticated users
This new 27-inch (68.6 cm) display uses the latest PLS Quad HD panel, delivering brilliant high-resolution images at particularly wide viewing angles - the 272C4 overall guarantees an outstanding viewing experience. Especially handy: the MultiView feature allows users to stream content from more than one source simultaneously. One side of the screen, for instance, could be used to view the live sports feed from a set-top box, whilst a notebook could be used to surf the internet on the other side. The display also offers different ways to enhance the viewing experience, with features such as SmartImage presets for setting the viewing mode, SmartControl for easy tuning, SmartContrast to enhance screen contrast and SmartKolor for rich, vibrant images.
Entertainment made easy
For a variety of entertainment set-ups, the 272C4 display offers a broad range of interfaces. With the two DisplayPort connectors several monitors can be daisy-chained; and there are HDMI and DVI connectors, three USB 3.0 ports as well as an optional Thunderbolt interface. For videochats with friends and family a 2.0 megapixel webcam and microphone can be found integrated into the bezel. The 27-inch (68.6 cm) screen is spacious enough - and offers the superb image quality - to make on-screen socialising an enjoyable and true-to-life experience.
