PRESS RELEASE

New 23-inch IPS ErgoSensor monitor combines ultimate ergonomics with extra-wide viewing angle, brilliant imaging and color accuracy

United Kingdom, 31st October 2012:  As the days grow shorter into the fall season, busy office professionals who spend long hours at their desks are more prone than ever to eye strain, back pain and fatigue. To keep energy levels up, MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, announces a new 23-inch version of the Philips ErgoSensor display with IPS: the advanced viewing technology that delivers a vivid display experience no matter how dull the day.

ErgoSensor for a healthy, productive workplace

Delivering a near 180-degree viewing angle without sacrificing colour vibrancy or sharpness, IPS LED technology is the perfect addition to the ErgoSensor display - which is all about helping professional users be more productive. The innovative ErgoSensor detects the position of the user's face and head angle, measures the distance between the user's eyes and the monitor, and suggests how users can adjust their posture or correct their distance from the screen. It also tracks the time spent at the screen and reminds people when they're due a break. In short, the Philips ErgoSensor is personalized ergonomics - designed for wellbeing.

The new 23-inch ErgoSensor with IPS maintains the same focus on physical comfort as other models. The Smart ErgoBase, with its flexible height, swivel, tilt and rotation angle adjustment, allows the monitor to be positioned for maximum viewing comfort - whatever the user's height. IPS, of course, permits a wider viewing angle, giving users even more posture choices and enabling teams to collaborate more comfortably at the display. And with its low bezel-to-table height, the display delivers a perfect viewing experience for people who use bifocals, trifocals or progressive lens glasses for screen work.

The 231P4QRYES 23-inch Brilliance IPS LCD monitor with ErgoSensor will be available through reseller and distributor partners at the recommended retail price of £199.99 (ex VAT).
