PRESS RELEASE

The monitor highlights showcased include ErgoSensor and Ambiglow technology, a 29″ UltraWide 21:9 monitor, a 27″ WQHD PLS model and various Clinical Review Displays.

Amsterdam, 28 February 2013: MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips monitors, will present a variety of upcoming monitor market highlights at the CeBIT. In the business segment, MMD will show an UltraWide 73.6 cm (29″) Philips monitor in the Cinemascope format 21:9. Also part of the B2B portfolio: a 68.6 cm (27″) PLS model with the stunning WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels as well as a 58.4 cm (23″) IPS model with ErgoSensor technology, which keeps an eye on the user's posture and gives corrective feedback. In addition, MMD will display a 27 inch AH-IPS monitor with 3D capability and Ambiglow technology targeted at gamers as well as a 23″ IPS model with MHL connectivity. Philips monitors to premier at the CeBIT also include Clinical Review Displays, which are ideally designed for use in clinical environments. All models will be showcased from 5-9 March 2013 in Hanover at the CeBIT stand no. F51 in hall 15.

Ultra-clear, ultra-productive, UltraWide: 29″ UWHD 21:9 display

This model will redefine standards in modern workspaces. State-of-the-art AH-IPS display technology delivers crisp images and vibrant colours. The most stunning, thought-through feature of the 29″ IPS model 298P4QJEB is its 21:9 aspect ratio. Offering urgently needed extra space for office applications, the UltraWide display allows viewing various program windows side-by-side. With MultiView, several signal sources, such as computers and BluRay players consoles can be connected and viewed simultaneously, leading to considerable savings of time and increased productivity.

Clearly more productive: 27″ WQHD display with PLS technology

Taking pinpoint sharpness to the next level is the mission of the 272P4QPJKEB. Another CrystalClear model, Philips has equipped the 68.6 cm (27") monitor with the latest PLS panel, delivering stunning clear and vivid pictures on 2560 x 1440 pixels. Numerous built-in benefits such as MultiView or an integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam provide great user-friendliness. Exemplary ergonomics and connectivity: the 272P4QPJKEB offers two DisplayPort connectors for daisy-chain set-ups as well as HDMI and DVI sockets. Not less than three USB (3.0) ports on top will excite even the most demanding users. Via the pivot function, the display can be rotated from landscape to portrait format within seconds - practical for lengthy texts and tables or photo editing.

World exclusive: Ambiglow 3D display

Philips will introduce yet another highlight from the 27″ segment: the Gioco 3D gamer display. It not only delivers excellent images utilising a top-notch AH-IPS panel and flicker-free 3D polarisation technology - it also creates an image-matching halo of light on the rear wall called Ambiglow. Especially suited for watching movies and gaming, Philips Ambiglow offers a unique immersive viewing experience while reducing eye fatigue at the same time. The extraordinary gaming model is completed by intelligent features like a fast-charge USB connector for mobile phones or an auto 3D function.

ErgoSensor: Keeping an eye on the user's health

The business-targeted 231P4QRYES combines the latest eIPS display with the user-friendly ErgoSensor feature. This technology measures certain ergonomic parameters like viewing distance, work time or user posture and gives corrective feedback to promote a healthier and more productive workplace.

23 inch innovation: MHL

The 237E4QHAD offers MHL connectivity which allows Android users to connect their compatible mobile gadgets with the monitor and directly display contents from the smartphone or tablet on the large screen.

Premiere: Clinical Review Displays

For the first time, MMD is going to present Philips models with certificates for specific applications in the healthcare sector. In this segment, monitors not only have to offer supreme picture quality, but also need to fulfil special hygienic and ergonomic requirements. Philips Clinical Review Displays thus boast a unique anti-bacterial coating and are especially easy to clean. Accurate colour and greyscale reproduction is ensured by the DICOM-compliant D-Image display technology. Philips launches a 61 cm (24″) IPS monitor for ultimate colour contrast as well as two 68.6 cm (27″) models employing high-grade AMVA and PLS display technology. A 54.6 cm (21.5″) USB monitor will also be part of this range, allowing an ultra-mobile use, e.g. on medical carts.

MMD will present these Philips monitors at the CeBIT booth in Hanover (hall 15, stand F51) from 5-9 March 2013.
