We've long eulogised the benefits of solid-state drives (SSDs) as the primary storage in your desktop PC or notebook.

Prices continue to fall at an accelerated rate, with a quality 120GB drive now available at close to the Ā£100 mark. If we were speccing up a system, an SSD would be the first thing on our list, but our question to you, dear readers, is this; do you use an SSD in your main PC?

If so, were you an early adopter and are you happy with your purchase? If not, why not? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

one for windows & games, 2nd for temp and paging files, and a couple of platter drives for docs and other programs.
I use them in all my rigs!

I still have a netbook with a mechanical drive in it but everything else is SSD based (1 Windows laptop, 4 desktop systems, 2 NAS/file server type systems & a MacBook Air.)

I was a fairly early adopter, my first was a Falcon 128 GB SSD, my most recent a 64 gb M4. I don't really notice the speed of them when I'm using them but I really do notice the speed difference when I'm not using them..
No

I simply cant afford/justify one :(
Yup, would never have a system without one again
Absolutely a convert now with a M4 120 GB SSD and an M3 60 GB in the two main PCs Now thinking a 240 GB might be a good next step in place of one of the older hard drives
