Pinnacle Studio 10.5 software update (full version) - released February 14, 2006

We include below information about this updater, which Pinnacle says should be installed by all users of all versions of Studio 10. However, judging by what users are saying on Pinnacle's own Studio 10 support forums, a number of problems still remain after installing the 10.5 patch, as exemplified by a thread called, "Survey on S10.5: Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down".

Studio 10.5 is the latest version of Studio to be released. Pinnacle strongly recommends installing this patch (79Mbyte) for all Studio, Studio Plus and Studio 10 MediaSuite versions - 10.0, 10.1, 10.1.1, 10.1.2. Click here to download the 10.5.0 patch. The history of fixes in ALL previous Studio 10 patches is listed below. All of the fixes below are also incorporated into the latest version of Studio 10.

Studio 10.5.0 includes the following fixes and enhancements from Studio 10.1.1

* Video iPod and Sony PSP video file output now available (Note: This feature requires MPEG-4 to be activated on your system in order to operate)

* Significantly reduced time required to launch Studio
* Improved speed while changing user interface panels
* Improved performance on lower system spec graphic cards
* Issues with Studio 10 running correctly after an uninstall of Studio 9 fixed
* Progress indicators are improved throughout the program

Studio 10.1.1 includes the following fixes and enhancements from Studio 10.1

* Grey picons in Timeline and hanging with a large number of Stills in the timeline fixed.
* Switch to Make Disc/File/Tape is now faster
* Some Render hangs and crashes fixed
* Stability improvements
* Playback performance improvements
* Progressive Project Formats can now be created
* Can now create DVD from VIDEO-TS image
* DVD player compatibility problems with Studio 10 created DVD+R media fixed
* Resolved "Disc is dirty" error
* Fixed various SmartMovie issues

Studio 10.1 includes the following fixes and enhancements from Studio 10.0

* Now imports .MOD files (JVC Everio cameras)
