It looks like Dell is preparing next-generation successors to its Venue 8 Pro and 10 Pro Windows tablets. The new Venue Pro tablets appear to be bristling with next-gen tech specs including an Intel Cherry Trail SoC plus up to 4GB of RAM, USB Type-C, 1920X1200 pixel display, and RealSense 3D camera. The tablets are said to offer a 64-bit Windows 10 experience for full productivity, inking functionality and Continuum.

Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000

Material purported to detail the new Windows 10 powered tablets comes from Giga.de via WinBeta. The German site published slides showing an overview of the 'Next Gen Venue 8 Pro 5000' and a key feature 'why it matters' analysis. These slides are reproduced above and below this paragraph.

As you can see from the above details, the new Venue 8 Pro builds upon the capabilities offered by earlier generation Windows tablets by packing in plenty of juicy new tech. With the included active pen, optional dock, stand, and Continuum experience it could be "ideal for specialised applications and on the go productivity," says Dell.

Dell Venue 10 Pro 5000

Giga.de also has a scoop on the Venue 10 Pro Windows tablet. Again it has published a key features slide and 'why it matters' slide concerning the Dell Venue 10 Pro. The internals appear to be pretty similar to the updated Venue 8 Pro; with Intel Atom X5-Z8500 and 4GB of RAM. Again it seems to come with Dell's active stylus and built-in 3D Depth Camera for Windows Hello. Perhaps making it a better all-round travel companion is the 2-in-1 reversible backlit keyboard with stylus silo.

Both tablets appear to be scheduled for a November release. We will be back with further information and pricing as soon as we can.

I'll take the 8" with a 1280x800 display, 2GB of RAM, and an active stylus - thanks!

What do you reckon Hexus, can you wangle a competition with Dell? ;) :hexlub:
I'll take the 8" with 4GB of ram, 1920x1200 (odd, sure that isn't 1080p) display, LTE and active stylus :)

It would be a great little note taking device in my opinion.

… 1920x1200 (odd, sure that isn't 1080p) display …

No, it isn't 1080p, but they can probably get away with calling it FHD because it can provide a 1:1 pixel mapping for 1080p….
Active stylus, 16:10 display, ooh yeah…
No micro-sd slot - no sale to me
