Unveiled back in January at CES, Samsung has finally announced its release schedule for the Galaxy NotePRO, a 12.2 inch tablet, in the UK. The device will become available from Thursday 6th February in selected retailers which include Carphone Warehouse, John Lewis and the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield Stratford City. The device is Samsung's first from its new PRO tablet range to hit stores.
This substantial stylus packing tablet was made available for pre-order last week priced at £649. It comes in a black or white colour scheme and boasts a 12.2-inch LCD panel with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and runs Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS skinned with Samsung's new Magazine UX.
The Galaxy NotePRO is fairly light and slim for its screen size at just 7.95mm thick and 750g in weight. A substantial 9,500mAh Lithium-Ion battery will ensure a full day's use without having to recharge. It also comes with an 8MP rear-mounted camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.
Samsung's Multi Window function will allow users to split the 12.2 inch screen into four different panels, good for making the most of the screen on offer. Also a Remote PC feature will also allow easy access and management of one's home or office PC from a remote location.
"We’re excited to bring the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 to market and set a new standard of excellence for the tablet category. The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 comes complete with a premium design, world class viewing experience and unique features, making it a must-have device," said Simon Stanford, Vice President of IT & Mobile Division, Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland.
