It's official folks! Diablo III will launch Tuesday, May 15th, with the game immediately available for pre-order, where Amazon is charging £32.97 for the standard edition and £69.99 for the collectors edition.
The collectors edition additionally includes a behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD, the Diablo III soundtrack, a 208-page Art of Diablo III book and a 4GB USB soulstone, pre-loaded with full versions of Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, contained within a Diablo skull base. Exclusive in-game content for Diablo III, World of Warcraft and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will also be included.
The game will run on both Windows and Mac computers. Anyone who currently holds or signs up to a World of Warcraft annual pass before May 1st will be able to download the game for free.

Another interesting new feature is that Activision Blizzard is implementing an auction house for the sale of in-game items, for purchase with in-game gold, however, players will have the opportunity to receive real-world currency for their sales, with further details on the exciting new system to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
