Heh people have gone berserk on the steam forums over this announcement.

It does seem quite ridiculous considering the price that people initally paid for a game many considered to be “incomplete”.
To be fair it's easy to understand people's anger. Why pay £30-£40 for new game when you already have a good one that lacks the content you expected it would get.

I don't understand it. If you don't think the current game is worth the money then you wouldn't be playing it surely? Likewise if you don't think the new game is worth £30 then you don't have to play that either.
What I'm saying is I bought the game at full price in anticipation of extra content. Perhaps a little naive of me to expect a company to give me something for free, but I was hopeful. The reason I'm slightly annoyed that they're bringing out a new one so soon is the because this means that there will certainly be no DLC in the future, and I'll effectively have to cough up another £30-£40 if I want to continue playing the game.
What bothers me is the Xbox360 exclusivity. Well, good job MS for securing it, but I still think this is a game that's well suited for PC. Was this game not a commercial hit on the PC end (even taking into account pirated copies)?
