Sales of Modern Warfare 3 are reported to be down 41 per cent on the previous week, but Activision’s blockbuster has still managed to hold off Assassin’s Creed Revelations, which clutches onto second place for another week. Saint’s Row: The Third moves from fourth to third position, swapping places with Skyrim, while FIFA 11 and Just Dance 3 are the only two games in the top 10 to sell more copies than last week, charting at fifth and eighth respectively.
There are two new entries in the top 20 this week, including WWE 12 which debuts at number 12 and Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call, which drops in at number 7. Warner Bros will be disappointed with the performance of the newly-released Lord of the Rings: War in the North, which only just managed to scrape into the top 40 at number 38.
Following a major Black Friday promotion, Moshi Monsters: Moshling Zoo makes the biggest jump in the charts, presumably due to parents keen to grab at Christmas bargain for their loved ones, rising from number 18 to number 12.
