There's a lot of hype already this week surrounding the launch of Call Of Duty: Black Ops and Kinect, but the arrival of the third game in the popular Rock Band series has also been making plenty of waves.

Lauded for its new keyboard peripheral and complete band experience, Rock Band 3 has received glowing reviews. Nevertheless, it’s an expensive piece of kit to buy if you’re still unsure whether the keyboard will really add to the familiar experience.

The good news is a demo just landed on Xbox 360 and PS3, which allows you to use a legacy guitar controller to play the keyboard. The demo includes four songs, namely: Spacehog’s “In the Meantime,” White Stripes “Hardest Button To Button,” Slipknot’s “Before I Forget,” and Foreigner’s “Cold As Ice.”

To be able to play the demo you must already own a compatible Rock Band guitar or microphone, and of course you’ll need to be an Xbox Live Gold Account member for the Xbox 360 version and have a PlayStation Network Account for the PS3 demo.

You’ll find the game in the demo section. Happy rocking!
