Dorsten, 19 July 2012 - Display specialist AOC further expands its sponsoring activities in the gaming sector. When the thirty million strong community of action multiplayer classic League of Legends sends its best forces to compete in the online tournament The Siege, AOC will support the exclusive live coverage from the in2LOL studios in Berlin. 16 teams will cross swords and magic wands over eight weeks to determine the winner.
New tournament mode
Newly introduced, the extended tournament mode firstly consists of a group phase with 16 teams competing in four groups. For the overall victory, however, the teams, which mainly consist of European players, have to prevail in an additional group phase and a final knockout round.
All matches will be covered live in online streams. Next to sponsoring the tournament together with its gaming partner Razer, AOC will support the exclusive live coverage from the in2LOL studios in Berlin. The production studio, for instance, will be equipped with two large-format e2795Vh LED displays. This Full HD model features a 69 cm (27″) screen diagonal and has received many awards throughout Europe. A further three e2795Vh will be provided by AOC to be drawn in a competition during the tournament.
