Requiring 2.30V of power to operate, users are able to utilise up to 2.35V without fear of invalidating the warranty, thanks to the company's EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) feature which allows for the modules to handle VDIMM up to the level stated, without implications.
The special AMD CrossFire Reaper HPC heatspreader features AMD's 'CrossFire Certified' logo and the modules have been fully tested and qualified by the AMD certification program, which OCZ cite, guarantees superior compatibility with CrossFire technology, as well as ensuring that the modules meet the highest standards of quality.
In functioning as a cooling solution, the Reaper HPC heatspreader is described by OCZ as being engineered to deliver superior, silent heat dissipation, in comparison to traditional heatspreaders and that as heat rises into the thermo-conductive copper heat pipe conduit, it is dissipated through a compact, aluminium fin array.
