Press Release
Milton Keynes, England, 17th April, 2007 – Partnering with NVIDIA, the world’s leading motherboard manufacturer, Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) has today announced the release of a series of new generation, performance-class DX10 graphics cards: N8600GTS-256MX+, N8600GT-256MX+ and N8500GT-256DY+.Derivatives of the G80, the first graphics chip to support DX10 in the industry, these three new products from ECS deliver to gamers an extreme gaming experience with breathtaking realism but at a reasonable price tag. Taking advantage of video playback functionality, the new ECS solutions release the full potential of NVIDIA’s PureVideo HD and H.264 hardware acceleration features and HD decoding technologies to provide perfect 1080P full HD Video effect.
Compared with previous generation GeForce 7900/7600 products, the ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series introduces the all-new DX10-compatible unified shader architecture instead of the traditional pixel shader (PS)/vertex shader (VS) separation design, subsequently simplifying the design process for game designers and dramatically enhancing the performance of these graphics cards when used with the latest games.
The ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series products are fully compatible with the 128Bit HDR+FSAA. Furthermore, the HDR effect of each channel has reached FP32 full floating point precision, supporting the unique “HDR+MSAA” and “HDR+CSAA” features – a functionality and effect that was almost impossible to realize on the previous G7x series. Applications developed around DirectX 10’s architecture will be able to deliver images with vividness and fine quality that have never been seen before with previous desktop multimedia APIs. The ECS GeForce 8600/8500 series also provides full support for Windows Vista.
ECS N8600GTS-256MX+ comes with the 80nm-based G84 display core, designed on full floating point Stream Processor units and fully compatible with DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 standards. It has four 1.0ns GDDR3 display memories with each of 16Mb*32Bit, the display memory specification is 256MB/128Bit, with 720MHz/2200MHz core/memory speed pre-overclocked from 675MHz/2000MHz at the factory and capable of providing up to 32GB/S display bandwidth. The design is based on DX10 unified shader architecture supporting 128Bit full floating point HDR+FSAA and up to 16x full-screen anti-aliasing mode, SLI technology and HDCP digital copyright protection ready.
ECS N8600GT-256MX+ comes with the 80nm-based G84 display core, designed on full floating point Stream Processor units and fully compatible with DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 standards. It has four 1.4ns GDDR3 display memories with each of 16Mb*32Bit, the display memory specification is 256MB/128Bit, 600MHz/1600MHz core/memory default clock speed. The technological properties and multimedia functionality are the same to 8600GTS.
ECS N8500GT-256DY+ comes with the 80nm-based G86 display core, designed on full floating point Stream Processor units and fully compatible with DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 standards. It has eight 2.5ns GDDR2 display memories with each of 16Mb*16Bit, the display memory specification is 256MB/128Bit, 500MHz/860MHz core/memory default clock speed. The technological properties and multimedia functionality are the same to 8600 series.
ECS has a high level of graphics card design team in the industry and 20 years of board design experience. ECS guides itself under the concept of ‘providing the highest quality and performance products with the most competitive prices in the global market’, and offers differential choices to consumers.
