Zalman have unveiled a brand new chassis that is the follow-up to the Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 we reviewed late last year, the GT 1000 is its name and it’s a stunner.

We managed to grab a couple of pictures as the boxes were being unpacked amid the total chaos of 40 various halls full of companies all trying to get their stands ready for the official opening tomorrow.

With the usual black and the brand new titanium finish available at launch it has to be said the GT 1000 certainly looks to have picked up where the Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 left off. Gone are the little tag lines with various warnings, the Fatal1ty branding has been dropped as have the funky door releases.

The build quality of the GT 1000 seems to have improved over the Fatal1ty FC-ZE1, which is quite a feat in itself. Gone are the rip-out blanking plates at the back, and a second door has been added to the other side of the chassis to ease access. Although there are still bolts on the front quarter panel it is actually hinged this time round which is good to see. Adding in the capability to store more hard drives in the floor of the chassis is also a nice addition.

We will be getting one of these into HEXUS shortly and we’ll put it through its paces to see if Zalman have indeed improved on its first mini-tower design.

Problem is, What images? Only placeholders show up in Firefox 2.0 and they are text and they say click here, they aren't even html links either.
Seems to be working fine for me on FF2.

Try a CTRL-F5?
