The newest Crossfire master cards - X1800XT models - are landing in the UK, and are being supplied by add-in-board partner of ATI, Powercolor.
The X1800 brings a number of improvements to ATI's Crossfire, including good superAA quality and the sort of speed boost you'd expect from pairing a couple of X1800 beasties together. Of course, for such a Crossfire configuration to work, you need one card to be a Crossfire master card. Those have, until now, been elusive.
However, Powercolor comes to the rescue here in the UK with stock of X1800XT Crossfire edition boards inbound. The board, which has a 625MHz core clock and 512MiB of GDDR3 at 750MHz, will set you back something in the region of Ā£375 including VAT. Be on the lookout for the cards in e-tailers near you!
