Combining an ultra-slim chassis with a stylish stand and a monitor that supports 3D, the Samsung Series 9 900A7A has been announced as the South Korean manufacturer's latest all-in-one desktop (AIO) PC.

Launching in its home market this week, the 900A7A isn't cheap at 2,690,000 won ($2,359/Ā£1,526) but Samsung hopes that the 27in (1,920x1,080) monitor, which has a thickness of just 11.7mm and comes mounted on a curved asymmetrical stand, will tap into the excitement that seems to surround any smartphone, laptop, notebook or AIO that is so slim you can barely see it.

The specifications are decent, with an Intel Core i7-2600S processor, AMD Radeon HD 6730M graphics, 1TB hard drive storage, HD web camera for video chat, Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, JBL stereo speakers and Live TV support. Though it hasn't been confirmed, some sites are also claiming that the base model will come packed with 8GB of RAM as standard.

There's currently no word on when or whether the Samsung Series 9 900A7A will launch outside of South Korea, but while we wait to find out there are a number of other models in the Series 9 range that might tickle your fancy.

At CES earlier this month, Samsung also announced the world's thinnest notebook, the Series 9 900X3B.

Agreed good looking model
Not sure I'd really classify this as a ‘true’ all in one - it just looks like a super-slim monitor sitting on a laptop… It's still very obviously a screen and a PC that started as seperate units and have been stuck together - the point of an AIO is you hide the internals in the screen to give the illusion of one single unit. Bit of a fail imho.

Agreed, looks very cheap to me, which is bizarre on a screen that leans so heavily towards the “design” crowd. Technically it's a 27" 1920x1080 panel which is utterly uninteresting in every way.
Plus it looks like it's about to fall over..
