Gigabyte has seemingly fleshed-out, what is expected to be, the launch line-up for AMD's FX-Series 'Zambezi' family of CPUs.

It looks like the Sunnyvale, CA based chip manufacturer will be going with its B2 stepping, and we can see multiple 8-core flavours - joined by solo appearances from 4- and 6-core varieties.

The chart-topping FX-8150, with its 125W TDP, is set to deliver base clock speeds of 3.6GHz, followed by the 3.1GHz FX-8120. There's also mention of a 95W FX-8120 SKU, again ramped up to 3.1GHz, followed by the 2.8GHz FX-8100.

6-core action is taken care of by the 95W FX-6100, running at 3.3GHz, and we then have the 4-core FX-4100, running at 3.6GHz.

System bus speeds - top to bottom - register in at 5,200MT/s, and there's the expected 8MB of L3 cache across the line-up, as well.

thats a big old speed bump between the 8120 and 8150. I presume they will fill that 0.5ghz gap with some later versions
just the turbo speeds to disclose now :D
I wonder how much they're going to be. I hope the lowest 8 core model will be the same (or lower!) than the 2600k

I guess that depends on how quick they are compared to Sandy Bridge. :P

I can't see the 8 core version being cheaper than Sandy Bridge though - if it's slower in multi-core benchmarks (which is the only reason you'd get one) then AMD will have seriously cocked up!
