It's been a long time coming, but Logitech has finally made available the Spotify music streaming service to users of its Squeezebox network music players.
The hugely-popular Spotify service touts millions of instantly-available tracks, and having recently become available on rival solutions such as the Sonos, a debut on Squeezebox was inevitable.
Available later today in beta form from MySqueezebox.com, the Spotify app for Squeezebox Touch and Squeezebox Radio provides easy access to the vast Spotify library, and there's support for offline playlists, too.
However, at launch, the app won't support the free-to-use ad-supported business model that has made Spotify so popular. Instead, users wishing to enjoy the Spotify app will require a Spotify Premium subscription - currently charged at £9.99 per month. The Premium service includes higher-quality 320kbps audio, no advertising, and access to exclusive music content.
