We don't often give credit to the guys and girls who fold on our behalf, but we have to acknowledge the awesome work done by the HEXUS folding@home team over the past few months.
After steadily increasing its monthly score over the past few years, the team managed to hit a massive 6.9 million points last month, more than doubling the previous monthly total. For reference, this increased the team's total score by more than 10 per cent in a single month.
Of course, we're still looking into whether or not November's cold snap had anything to do with our folders working their PCs extra hard all day.
All of this activity has helped the team to climb up to 141st on the official rankings, with the distance to some of the higher-ranked teams closing rapidly.
So congratulations to everyone involved, keep up the good work and thanks for helping to build the good HEXUS name.
For more information on the team and how to join, head on over to the distributed computing area of the HEXUS.community or this news post for some basic background info. And for anyone who loves their numbers, detailed stats and graphs are available on the team's page over at Extreme Overclocking's F@H site.
Thanks to Ryan for the heads up!
