Word on the street is that the 1,024MB model will have a 256-bit bus and the 768MB version a 192-bit interface. Early pricing puts the 768MB GTX 460 at £175 and the better of the two card at £199.
Adding fuel to the pre-release fire, Newegg has listed various GeForce GTX 460 cards, albeit without pricing details.
The Palit listing details a 1,024MB card that's overclocked to 725MHz core and 1,450MHz shaders straight out of the box, reinforcing the belief that NVIDIA will let vendors ship pre-overclocked models on, or very near, the day of launch.
The ASUS listing, meanwhile, 'confirms' the existence of the 768MB card, complete with 192-bit interface.
Just how the cards play out in the mid-range GPU landscape will be known very soon, but a 750MHz-plus clocked GTX 460 is sure to give the incumbent GTX 465 a few headaches.
Thanks to Fudzilla for the tip.
