A peek inside shows that Apple does indeed use a Samsung-manufactured 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, positioned to the right of the three-axis gyroscope.
iFixit goes on to confirm that the iPhone is endowed with 512MB of onboard memory, double that of the iPhone 3GS, ships with a 3.7V, 1,420mAh battery, and has frame-mounted aerials for mobile communications.
