Introduction
At the tail end of last year, just before the festive rush, Dell launched a range of inexpensive desktop PCs under the Zino brand. Ostensibly designed as space-saving nettops - the counterpart to netbooks - the small-form-factor computers brought a modicum of style to the burgeoning sector.
Dell's little box of tricks, measuring just 7.8in x 7.8in x 3.4in, is now available with a plethora of options that saturate price points from £249 through to over £750, including monitor.
The cheapest model is dubbed Zino and currently etails for £249 and is powered by Intel's Atom processor, whilst a larger range of AMD-equipped Zino HDs begin at £279.
Looking much akin to Apple's Mac mini on first glance, we take a look at a high-specification Zino HD, powered by a dual-core Athlon chip and discrete Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics. Worth around £600 as a standalone box? We find out.
