Last we checked, Corsair already had the world's fastest DDR3 memory module, but why stop at that?
The high-end memory specialist has today confirmed that its Dominator GTX memory module has been awarded Intel XMP certification at a speed of 2,333MHz with latencies of 9-11-9-27 and voltage at 1.65V.
Intel's engineers certified the numbers on a P55 test platform configured with a GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD4P motherboard, but for the overclocking enthusiast, Intel's seal of approval ultimately emphasises the module's performance credentials.
An obvious choice for the overclocking crowd, it seems, but there's always the small matter of price. Corsair's XMP-certified 2GB Dominator GTX DDR3 memory module (CMGTX1) is individually hand screened and tested on multiple P55 platforms, and then sold as single modules on a limited, first come, first served basis.
All that roughly translates to "not cheap", and you can expect to do away with $200 for each individual module.
