Dell already has itself a set of good-looking all-in-one PCs - including the high-end XPS One 24 and the mid-range Studio One 19 - but it's extending its UK range today with the addition of the "great value" Inspiron One 19.
The 19in all-in-one system, pictured below, first appeared in Japan at the tail end of October, and is now available to UK consumers.
Dell's entry-level model, priced at £399, sports a 2.2GHz Intel Celeron 450 processor, integrated Intel GMA x4500 graphics, 4GB of DDR2 memory and 320GB of storage. An upgraded model, priced at £479, raises the bar slightly with a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium dual-core E5300 processor, 4GB of memory and 500GB of storage.
Not exactly benchmark-worthy, but it's a decent-looking entry-level system for the mums and dads of the world.
The Inspiron One 19's display measures 18.5in and offers a resolution of 1,366x768. There's no mention of touchscreen support yet, but Dell does have the system listed as "non-touch", hinting that perhaps a touch-enabled offering is in the works.
An eight-in-one card reader features as standard, as does a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a DVD writer and stereo speakers are integrated. Connectivity options come in the form of five USB ports, FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11b/g wireless.
It's worth noting that Dell Japan currently offers the system with meatier Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and we'd expect similar configurations to be offered to UK consumers at some point. Then again, start piling on the upgrades and you'll soon find yourself entering multi-touch Studio One 19 territory.
