It's no secret that AMD plans to follow up its range-topping Radeon HD 5870 graphics card with a dual-GPU variant dubbed the Radeon HD 5870 X2.
The monster card, currently codenamed Hemlock, is scheduled to appear later this year - conveniently around the same time as NVIDIA's DX11 'GT300' GPUs, we reckon. We know it's going to be stupidly quick - and we've hinted at performance in our Radeon HD 5870 CrossFireX review - but we've not yet seen the beast in the flesh... until now.
Pictures of AMD's not-so-secret weapon have appeared online, and it's just what you might have expected - two of AMD's best GPUs sandwiched onto one long PCB (printed circuit board). The images also reveal that power will be provided by six-pin and eight-pin PCIe connectors. Feast your eyes on these, and feel free to dream of a 5870 X2 CrossFireX configuration.
