NVIDIA has long been suggesting that "PhysX technology provides an even deeper level of engagement for players of Batman: Arkham Asylum", and, as expected, the GPU giant's partners are lining up with a variety of Batman-branded GeForce bundles - all sold with a coupon entitling buyers to a free downloadable copy of Eidos' highly-rated title.
Two of the first cards to emerge come from ZOTAC and Point of View. The ZOTAC card, dubbed the GeForce GTX 285: Batman Edition, is a limited edition card - we're told only 900 units will be made - and they'll each feature the Batman artwork pictured below.
Aside from the fancy paint job and free game, it's essentially a by-the-book GTX 285 with a GPU clocked at 648MHz, 240 stream processors clocked at 1,476MHz and 1GB of GDDR3 memory operating at 2,484MHz.
Point of View, meanwhile, has itself a similarly-styled GeForce GTX 275. Although it isn't stating how many cards will be produced, Point of View calls it a "rare collectable edition" and has opted for Joker-inspired artwork. It's also throwing in a free pair of 3D Discover Glasses.
Once again, the spruced-up design doesn't bring with it any additional performance. The Joker-styled GTX 275 ships with stock frequencies - that's 633MHz for the GPU, 1,404MHz for its 240 stream processors, and 2,268MHz for its 1GB frame buffer.
We've yet to see pricing for the ZOTAC card, but Point of View's offering can be had for around £165.
