MSI launches AMD Yukon-based X-Slim X410 notebook

MSI's ever-growing line of X-Slim notebooks has expanded once again with the introduction of the X-Slim X410.

The latest ultra-thin system, pictured below, features a 14.1in, 1,366x768 display and innards comprised from AMD's Yukon platform. That means users are treated to a low-power 1.6GHz Athlon Neo MV-40 processor, combined with AMD's RS690E + SB600 chipset. All that'll come with DX9-supporting integrated Radeon X1250-class graphics.

Similar then, to the HP Pavilion dv2 reviewed by HEXUS back in June. Helping MSI's X-Slim X410 stand out, though, is a sleek 349mm x 234mm x 24.5mm frame weighing roughly 1.5kg.

MSI reckons the system's battery efficiency is "over twice that of traditional 14in notebooks", but it doesn't delve into actual figures. What we do know is you'll get 2GB of DDR2 memory as standard, Wireless N and Ethernet connectivity, a 320GB/500GB hard drive and HDMI out.

We've yet to see any mention of pricing, but MSI's complete specification can be found below. Those wanting a little more grunt should also be aware of MSI's larger 15in X-Slim X610 - that'll pair the 1.6GHz Athlon Neo processor with an ATI Radeon HD 4330. Yukon's successor, Congo, is also on the way.
